HARD ROCK HOLLYWOOD – THE GUITAR HOTEL
This is like nothing I have ever seen before; it’s like no other hotel in the world and its located in Hollywood, Florida just 30 minutes north of Miami. What makes this hotel so unique is the guitar masterpiece that goes 450 feet in the sky. This Guitar is a hotel that has 36 floors with 638 luxury rooms and suite. All rooms have floor to ceiling windows for great views. We were on the 10th floor and the view was amazing. This sure does change the South Florida skyline. The Guitar can be seen for miles and at 6:30 and 8:30 nightly the 16,800 LED strips of lights dance to the music giving you a magical show. All rooms have Egyptian cotton sheets, bathrobes, Sweetgrass collection body products, coffee pots, room safe, refrigerator, large TVs, and music playing on the radio when you check in. Each floor on the property is dedicated to a different artist. Our floor was Lady Gaga.
Another addition to this Four Diamond-rated and Green lodging Certified hotel is the Oasis Tower. It has 7 floors with 168 rooms and exclusive swim-up suites overlooking the lagoon and private pool area. These rooms have balconies and are a great place to watch the Guitar Show.
The pool area is amazing with 13.5 acres of lagoon like chain of pools. Bora-Bora inspired over water bungalows giving high-rolling guests some privacy in style. Each villa has its own plunge pool and a butler. These are quite pricey. Be sure to bring a swimsuit.

You can also rent canoes and paddle boats in the lagoon. FYI.. behind the lagoon is a great place to watch the Guitar Show nightly at 6:30 and 8:30.
Let’s not forget the 195,00 square foot casino. It has lots of slots and tables with special rooms for high rollers. The casino was good to me the 1st day but then I don’t know what happen. It giveth and it taketh. One thing that is very helpful is to bring a lanyard for your Hard Rock Awards Card because without mine I found myself leaving it in games. On the side of the casino is a venue called HARD ROCK LIVE. It has been renovated and seats 7000 people. Some booked are Maroon 5, Alicia Keys, Sting, Andrea Bocelli, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many more. Alicia Keys was performing when we were there and comedian Kevin James. The concert was sold out and that was too many people in the casino waiting for concert time. Also that weekend the Shawn Carter Foundation had a Gala with Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Judge Mathis, and more attending.
Bring a camera. Lots to take pictures of. If you get tickets to one of the concerts you may also want some binoculars. I like these below.
Make sure you have lots of battery or a potable battery pack. There is some much to take pictures of and you never know who you may see. I like these potable battery packs.
Hard Rock has many dining options. KURO – a Japanese restaurant, COUNCIL OAK – Steak and Seafood, ABIAKA – Wood Fire Grill, CIPRESSO – Italian-American, FRESH HARVEST – Buffet, HARD ROCK CAFE – Contemporary Menu, THE FOOD COURT – Salads, Pizza, Burgers, Asian, and more.

The spa is huge. It’s called ROCK SPA & SALON. Lots of services spas, massage, wraps, scrubs, facials, hair, nails, and much more for both him and her. The gym is also in this area. Be sure to wear your gym shoes to try out this awesome equipment.
The grand opening was October 24, 2019 so this is a brand new resort. It took 10 years of planning, building, and $1.5 billion to get here. It’s a MUST SEE if you are in the area or are looking for a road trip. They had a Black Friday Special with rooms starting at $129.00. So check it out.
