A NEW YEAR’S EVE ON THE VICTORY CASINO CRUISE

We love going on thehttps://victorycasinocruises.com on New Year’s Eve. Whether you play slot machines or the tables Victory has it all including bingo and sports book. They have lots of entertainment and dancing. Unlimited drinks both alcoholic and nonalcoholic are included in the price of the cruise. This year the price was $60 per person. You can pay a little extra and enjoy a buffet. The buffet was available as soon as you board the cruise or you could choose to purchase something in the bar. It was a limited menu but has something for everyone (burgers, philly steak, wings, and salads). All dinners are $10. The ship has 4 levels with slots on all floors. This cruise departed at 7:30pm and returned at 2:00am.

My holiday started by checking in to our hotel room at the International Palms. I like to get a hotel room near the cruise port so we’re not out on the road with all of the people who have had too much to drive.

Victory provides free transportation to and from the port from the area resorts and hotels. I had reserved our transportation to the cruise the week before and was told that someone would call me on the morning of the cruise with our pick up time. At 1PM noone had called so I called them and they didn’t have any record of our reservation and they were not booking any more transportation for the night; however, she called me right back and had added us for a 4:40 pickup. To our surprise the director of transportation himself picked us up and he was amazing. Customer service is A plus with everyone we encountered.

We arrived at the port as boarding began. After checking in we headed to the 4th level to find a seat and enjoy the beautiful weather outside and the DJ since we had over 2 hours till sailing.

As the ship departed we walked around looking for slots we enjoyed playing. We played for a while then decided to go to dinner. We had a burger, philly steak, and wings all were very tasty. After eating it was time to play more slots till the famous balloon drop.  

The balloon drop is my favorite part of the evening. At midnight they drop hundreds of balloons. All balloons have a strip of paper in them. Some just say Happy New Year while others have codes in them for prizes. We won 2 casino vouchers. One for $100.00 and the other for $50.00.  

Hint:  I make sure I wear earrings this night so that I have something to easily pop balloons with. Earrings like these.

Just before midnight they pass out party favors and champagne. It was a great way to end 2018 and an awesome beginning of 2019.
