• Symphony of the Sea- Day 1 and 2

We explored the ship a lot on day 1 and ate a lot of awesome food. We started at CHOPS GRILL and finished at the buffet. Today we reserved a few activities and rode the carousel on the Broadwalk. After our emergency drill we went up to deck 16 to watch the pilot jump from our ship to the pilot boat. I love watching and videoing this for some reason.  You can watch it from a lower deck on most ships.   So far the best thing on the ship is the ABYSS. It’s the 10 story dry slide. It’s dark and scary the first time but its incredible. Day 2…

  • Manasota Key

Manasota Key Beach is one of Florida’s undiscovered treasures. No highrises and no retail shops. There’s only a beach, a small hotel, homes, and lots of shark teeth.  All you need is a beach cart for your shark tooth rake and sifter and come on down.  And remember is sun screen. I use a shark tooth rake like this one. Also sifters are very helpful finding shark teeth. Thank you for coming to my site. • SYMPHONY OF THE SEA – DAY 3

Today was full of excitement. We all rolled out of bed to breakfast in the WINDJAMMER. Today was a day at sea so we started our adventures by ice skating. This is really cool to have on a ship. The Symphony of the Sea has 3 water slides and we tested them all today. You need water shoes for the slides. They are all good but the yellow/green one is our favorite. When we were doing the slides they were having a sexiest man contest at the pool beside us. The excitement continues as we changed clothes to go ziplining. Can you believe this is on a ship? They will…

  • MANASOTA BEACH COTTAGES

Last weekend we had a spur of the moment idea to go to the beach. To our disappointment all of the hotel rooms on the beach in the area we wanted to stay were already booked. We were going stay in Venice and drive back and forth when we thought about this small place on the left just before going over the bridge at Manasota Beach. We went to our maps to figure out the name of this place and looked them look online. It said Saturday was available but not Friday and they have a 3 night minimum. The next morning we called them. By this time we were…

  • SYMPHONY OF THE SEA- DAY 4

I have quite a story to tell today. It started by meeting in the Windjammer for breakfast then off the ship. We are in St Thomas today. As we departed the ship about 10am we took a taxi downtown to look around. We went in a few shops looking around and getting our free gifts. We knew we had time before our 1pm excursion so we were in no hurry till Regina ask if our 1pm excursion was ship time or island time?? Now we all started to panic. We jumped in a taxi while still discussing it we called CORAL WORLD this is where our excursion was, only to…

  • SYMPHONY OF THE SEA – DAY 5 Part 3

This is St Kitts at the port.  Remember your camera.   We see lots of moneys on St Kitts.   Our ship is on the right. The boys found $1.00 beer and that is 1 American dollar. Here are some pictures of the country side. This is beautiful.  Have a backpack so you can take a swimsuit with you in case you have time to check out one of the beaches.  Don’t forget your water shoes. How about a St Kitts policewoman.   #stkitts #affordableadventuresforall Thank you for coming to my site. My content may contain affiliate links for some of the products i use and love. • Majesty of the Sea – Day 1

We had no intentions of going on a cruise in July till an offer came our way that we couldn’t pass up. A FREE CRUISE!! All we had to pay would be taxes and port fees. So we booked it …….a 5 night on the MAJESTY of the SEA out of Ft Lauderdale.  We were so exited that we went out and bought new luggage.  We couldn’t wait to pack our bags and cameras. If you need new luggage check this 2 piece on spinners, we love it. Day 1 was interesting. We were about 1 1/2 hours late leaving Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale because the health inspector showed…

  • ROADSIDE BARS & PINK GUITARS — GIRL POWER

As the weather is changing and fall is in the air Orlando’s Amway Arena continues to bring top artist to town and last night is no exception. Miranda Lambert brought her ROADSIDE BARS & PINK GUITARS tour to Orlando and I’m so glad I remembered my camera with a good lens for some pictures.   If you have binoculars make sure to take them to concerts.  She also brought some friends with her to O Town and they would all be female powerhouses. A newcomer from Canada named TENILLE TOWNES started the all female night with hits like “Somebody’s daughter”, “Jersey on the Wall”, and “White Horse”. When Tenille was…

  • HISTORIC TOURS OF AMERICA

We planned our activities for Key West before we arrived through HISTORIC TOURS OF AMERICA. Having our tickets in advance was very helpful. They are also in other cities such as Nashville, St. Augustine, San Diego, Savannah, and Washington DC. You can book many places with them like Arlington National Cemetery Tours, Oldest Store Museum Experience, Old Jail, San Diego Seals, Yankee Freedom III, and many more. This is a great company to work with. Be sure to have a camera and comfortable walking shoes for your tours. www.affordableadventuresforall.com#affordableadventuresforall #keywest #keywestaquarium #ghosttourskeywest #historictours #sailstorails #oldtowntrolley www.historictours.com Thank you for coming to my site. • GATLINBURG – TENNESSEE

[metaslider id=1087] GATLINBURG is mountain town in eastern Tennessee.  The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is next to GATLINBURG.  Also GATLINBURG and Pigeon Forge are only minutes apart.  GATLINBURG has a lot to offer year round from ziplining, tubing, biking, horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding and much more.  One of my favorites is the Sky Lift.  You can buy a single ride for $16.00 or why not get the unlimited pass for $18.00 and you can ride all day.  You can see everything from  on top of Crockett Mountain at 1800 feet high.  My other favorite was the Mountain Coaster at Goats On The Roof.  I have another blog about this.  My most favorite…
