• SWIM WITH A SEA LION

When I was looking for an excursion CORAL WORLD came up. As I read their website I realized that they have a lot to do there. They have a SEA LION SWIM, TURTLE ENCOUNTER, SNUBA, SEA LION ENCOUNTER, SEA TREK, SEMI SUB, and before the hurricane in September 2017 they also had a SHARK SWIM. The SHARK SWIM is what I was really looking for but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I first thought about just booking their GUIDED TOUR for $24.00 then I noticed the SEA LION SWIM and none of us have ever swam with a SEA LION so I thought that would be the perfect excursion for…

  • SHARK TOOTH FESTIVAL

Have any of you ever heard of the SHARK TOOTH FESTIVAL? I love searching for shark teeth. You always dream of the HUGE find. It’s like going fishing and catching that 20 pound bass or going hunting and getting a 14 point buck. Millions of years ago megalodon sharks existed. They were large enough to swallow a car. Can you imagine that? Anyway the Venice, Florida area is an awesome place to find shark teeth. It is known as the “Shark Tooth Capital of the World” because of all the teeth that wash up on their beaches year after year. Every year Venice has a SHARK TOOTH FESTIVAL at the…

  • PILOT BOAT

Did you know that someone always jumps on and/or off cruise ships when coming and leaving all ports? This person is a pilot. His job is to help and direct the Captain when coming in and out of ports. This person knows the individual ports. I love this part. I always find the deck that I can see directly straight down the best. It’s usually just below the life boats. Most of the time it’s the 3rd floor but this one is from the 7th floor. The pilot is the guy in the white shirt and black pants. Here he’s getting off the cruise ship and on to the pilot boat. The…

  • CORAL WORLD

We started planning our excursions months before the cruise. In searching for things to do in St Thomas we ran across CORAL WORLD. It looked like a fun place and they offer many different excursions. I know you know what scuba diving is and what snorkeling is but what about SNUBA?? This is a combination of the two. It’s really cool and you don’t need a licence to do it. It gives you an idea of what its like to scuba dive. The difference is you don’t have a heavy tank on your back. You only have a hose that is long enough to reach a float on the surface…

  • SKY COASTER

I have lived in Orlando since 1987 and never been to FUN SPOT – Orlando. I have been to the Fun Spot – Kissimmee many times through out the years. Last May was FUN SPOT’s 20 year anniversary. For their anniversary they sold admission tickets for $20.00 and the Sky Coaster for $10.00. I was feeling brave that day and bought a couple of SKY COASTER tickets. I’ve always wanted to do it but always chickened out but today would be different. I DID IT!!! You definitely need a camera for this. Here’s some cameras that I like. It was awesome. As I was being suited up and waiting to…

  • SEMINOLE HARD ROCK RESORT and CASINO- TAMPA

I have been to the Hard Rock casino in Tampa many times and have always wondered what it was like to stay in the resort. I finally got a chance to experience it. As you arrive you can valet park or park for Free in one of a few different parking garages. The walk from the parking garage to the front desk was very long but there was lots to see along the way. The picture above is the new dome in the lobby, the new escalators that are curved, and a piano that belonged to Elvis Presley. We checked in and were anxious to see our room so to…

  • MAJESTY of the SEA – Day 5

Our last day at sea. The 1st thing I did today was the ALL ACCESS SHIP TOUR. This is cool to see if you are on a ship that gives tours. It’s nice to see what goes on behind the scenes. The ship tour is a must do.  Close toe shoes and long pants are required for this tour.  After the tour it was time to have lunch. And we can’t stay away from the casino for long. The afternoon was spent packing and walking around the ship. As the day went on we attended a great show. After the show some of the ship staff were introduced. This is…

  • GOATS on the ROOF COASTAL

[metaslider id=1127] GOATS on the ROOF has an awesome mountain coaster in PIGEON FORGE.  This mountain coaster is almost a mile long and goes almost 30 miles per hour.  You can go as fast or slow as you want on the coaster; you control the speed.  Each sled carries one or two people.  The ride last about 7 minutes while twisting and turning through the beautiful smoky mountains.  They say that the person controlling the sled must be 16 years old and must be 5’4″ (not sure how I was able to drive . LOL).  The max weight is 375 pounds per sled.  Also even as a passenger the minimum…

  • SYMPHONY OF THE SEA – DAY 7

This is our last day on the SYMPHONY OF THE SEA and we are at sea the whole day. We slept in a bit then up to play. We spent a lot of time playing today on the decks 15 and 16. Ziplining was one of our favorites. Today was the only time we played mini golf on the ship. They have a Mexican restaurant up there that we really enjoyed. The view is awesome from deck 16. Symphony has charging stations which are very helpful. We found that the holders are large enough for not only phones but wallets and small items that can be left there safe while…

  • MAJESTY of the SEA – Day 2

HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!We had a great day at sea. The Majesty has lots of activities planned on sea days. Today we enjoyed Jimmy Hopper in concert while at sea and of course we spent time in the casino. As the day went on the highlight of the day was an International Parade of Flags. The crew showed off their country’s flag in the Centrum. This was wonderful as many nations were represented. I’m happy that the cruise line celebrated the 4th of July or should I say Independence Day.  You can’t miss the Parade of Flags and remember to have your camera. Royal Caribbean brought us fireworks from Boston…
