• Carnival Breeze

The Carnival Breeze was launched in 2012. It’s a beautiful ship. It’s part of the Dream class. She cost $740 million to build, 130,000 tons, and 1004 feet long. It can carry 3690 passengers was 1386 crew members. Be sure to have some comfortable shoes for lots of walking and sports. The sports zone is nice with 2 water slides, basketball court, putt putt golf and lots more.  Don’t forget your swimsuit because the water slides are awesome. The casino is big with many slots and tables. The casino host on this ship is amazing.  I like spending time in the casino.  One thing I’ve learned is to have a…

  • HARD ROCK HOLLYWOOD – THE GUITAR HOTEL

This is like nothing I have ever seen before; it’s like no other hotel in the world and its located in Hollywood, Florida just 30 minutes north of Miami. What makes this hotel so unique is the guitar masterpiece that goes 450 feet in the sky. This Guitar is a hotel that has 36 floors with 638 luxury rooms and suite. All rooms have floor to ceiling windows for great views. We were on the 10th floor and the view was amazing. This sure does change the South Florida skyline. The Guitar can be seen for miles and at 6:30 and 8:30 nightly the 16,800 LED strips of lights dance…

  • The Old Town Trolley Tours

The Old Town Trolley Tours is a must do when in Key West. They give you a narrated tour. The staff are very friendly and professional. The trolleys have huge open windows allowing you to see out better. You can get on and off all day at one price. The Trolley has 13 stops and run about every 15 minutes. The trolley stops near all of the popular attractions. This is the best and safest way to see most of Key West. The trolleys are wheelchair accessible; however, wheelchairs can not get on and off at all stops. One thing we needed was a rain jacket. Check the weather because…

  • PILOT BOAT

When you go on a cruise make sure you check this out. Go to the lowest floor that you can go outside and find the starboard side. This is the side opposite the port side. The ship Captain does not get the ship out to sea. Someone from each port gets the ship out to sea then the Captain takes over. The person who got us out to sea then gets off the ship. It is so cool to watch the little pilot boat come up beside the huge cruise ships then to see someone jump off the cruise ship and onto the pilot boat. This happens because that pilot…

  • SEAFARER BEACH RESORT

This resort is at my favorite place and on my favorite beach – MANASOTA KEY BEACH, FLORIDA.  I’ve blogged about the SEAFARER BEACH RESORT before.  I was just there again and I have some more pictures.  It’s located on Florida’s gulf side between Sarasota and Ft Myers.  This area doesn’t have any hotels, shops, or restaurants  within miles.  The next resort is about 2 miles away.  To the left of the SEAFARER are multi-million dollar homes and to the right is a small public park.   If your looking for a busy, loud, and crowded area, this is not the place for you.  The beach here is unique with sharks teeth.  [metaslider…

Our 1st day we entered the park after 3pm so we got the next day FREE.  When we entered the park the photographer…

  • Manasota Key Beach

Those of you who know me know that I visit Manasota Key Beach every chance I get. I had the opportunity to go there this afternoon. The reason I go there is to find shark teeth. Today was a bad day for the teeth. Red tide was a bit visible. It smelt bad but I didnt see any dead fish. The waves were high and all of the shark’s teeth were hiding from me. It wasn’t like being on a gulf beach with the waves so high. A couple of surfers were even catching some of the waves. I only stayed there about 30 minutes and decided to leave. The…

  • SHARK TOOTH FESTIVAL

Have any of you ever heard of the SHARK TOOTH FESTIVAL? I love searching for shark teeth. You always dream of the HUGE find. It’s like going fishing and catching that 20 pound bass or going hunting and getting a 14 point buck. Millions of years ago megalodon sharks existed. They were large enough to swallow a car. Can you imagine that? Anyway the Venice, Florida area is an awesome place to find shark teeth. It is known as the “Shark Tooth Capital of the World” because of all the teeth that wash up on their beaches year after year. Every year Venice has a SHARK TOOTH FESTIVAL at the…
