ROADSIDE BARS & PINK GUITARS — GIRL POWER

As the weather is changing and fall is in the air Orlando ’s Amway Arena continues to bring top artist to town and last night is no exception. Miranda Lambert brought her ROADSIDE BARS & PINK GUITARS tour to Orlando and I’m so glad I remembered my camera with a good lens for some pictures.   If you have binoculars make sure to take them to concerts.  She also brought some friends with her to O Town and they would all be female powerhouses.

A newcomer from Canada named TENILLE TOWNES started the all female night with hits like “Somebody’s daughter”, “Jersey on the Wall”, and “White Horse”. When Tenille was only 17 she was nominated for a Canadian Country Music Award for Female Artist of the Year. This was Tenille’s last night on this tour. She did a great job as she got the crowd going and wanting more.

Next up was none other than MAREN MORRIS. This mega voice has been on fire since her single debut “My Church” that reached the top 5 on the US Hot Country Songs chart and won a Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance. Other songs are “80s Mercedes”, “Rich”, “The Middle”, “I Could Use A Love Song”, and most recent “Girl” and “The Bones”. Maren is not only a singer but also a songwriter and record producer. During her performance last night she announced the big news that she is pregnant. She is at the top of her career now and I only hope she will continue and come back stronger than ever.

It’s now time for Miranda Lambert. She entered her 1st country music talent show when she was 10 years old and later competed on Nashville Star in 2001. She was the 2nd runner up and still landed a contract with Sony Music. Her label debut KEROSENE went platinum. It’s been hit after hit since then with “Me and Charlie Talking”, “Kerosene”, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, “Gunpowder & Lead”, “Over You”, “Automatic”, “Somethin’ Bad”, “Vice” and more. Miranda has won female vocalist of the year with ACM Awards and CMA awards. After Miranda sang a few songs she brought out a couple of her friends who make up THE PISTOL ANNIES.

In 2011 Miranda teamed up with Angaleena Pressley and Ashley Monroe to create THE PISTOL ANNIES. They have released a couple of albums with songs like “Hell on Heels”, “Got My Name Changed Back”, and “Takin’ Pills”. The Pistol Annies sing sassy fun girl power songs.

This was a fun night with a great combination of woman power. The ROADSIDE BARS & PINK GUITARS tour rocks! If you have the opportunity to see this tour go out and support some Girl Power!!
